LIFE Church exist to:
Fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission -
Love God with all your heart;
Love your neighbor as yourself
Go, and make disciples
Teaching them what I've commanded you
OUR HOW
We champion our purpose through four primary commitments:
EVANGELISM:
Go, and make disciples
Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. He reminded us that a good shepherd would leave his ninety-nine sheep and go to look for the lost one. There are people wandering in a wilderness of frustration, depression, vice and distractions. Jesus says to bring them home!
WORSHIP:
"Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength"
God first. "In the beginning God..." The first purpose of LIFE church must be that God is honored and glorified. We do this through exuberant praise, fervent prayer and a steadfast commitment to learn God's will and way as the Holy Spirit teaches us His Word.
FELLOWSHIP:
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself"
"By this shall all men know you are my disciples, if you love one another." - John 13:35 Love is an action word. God so loved that He gave, and our love must be tangible. That means the hungry must be fed, the lonely reached, the prisoner visited and the sick comforted. We reach up in worship; we reach out in fellowship.
DISCIPLESHIP:
Go, make disciples of all nations
A disciple is a learner. When we give our lives to Christ, we begin a lifetime journey of becoming like Him. One aspect of His character was servanthood. Jesus asked us to pray for laborers to enter the harvest for the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. This purpose focuses on helping one another develop a servant's heart by pursuing our particular and unique God-given gifts. We blend our natural talents with those gifts to serve God's Kingdom and advance His name.
